This glass Studio “JUNCOBO” was established in January 1986 by Mr. Junsuke Sugai and Ms. Matsuko Sugai. They made plate glass by the technique of blowing and fusing, and set them at a lot of public architecture and private-sector housing. Especially the luster plate glass is original and distinguishes Studio JUNCOBO.

 At the same time, they started to make Ki(Wood)-Glass series cooperating with wood workers in Hokkaido. Drinking cups and lightings are used in a lot of unique bars, restaurants and hotels and favored. Now making 8000works every year.

 They have used biomass fuel, recycled cooking oil for the furnace to melt glass since 2008. In doing so Co2 emission becomes “0(Zero)”, and they were awarded Ministry of Environment Prize, Activity to prevent global warming in 2011. This is the first one to receive this award in Japanese arts and crafts.

 They have some exhibition not only in Japan but also USA, China, UK, Taiwan, Australia and Singapore. All staffs are aiming to create their own design and a carbon-natural studio.
